Supreme Court Experience |

| Michael practices primarily in employment, discrimination, and civil rights law. Recently, along with co-counsel, Michael worked on a case from the trial court, after a favorable jury verdict, to the 8th Circuit, and then to the United States Supreme Court. Additionally Michael has been privileged to represent attorneys in disciplinary matters before the Iowa Supreme Court’s Board of Professional Responsibility and Grievance Commission. | Michael graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Political Science before attending Drake University Law School, where he received his J.D. in 1989. At that time, Michael was admitted to practice law in New Mexico as well as the U.S. District Court of New Mexico. He returned to Des Moines in 1991 and was admitted to practice in Iowa as well as the Northern and Southern Districts of the state’s federal courts, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Michael resides in Des Moines with his wife Kathy and their two sons. | |
